19.24.8 Monks Talismans

The "Monks" talisman set:

Talismans and pieces from this set can be obtained in the following ways:
 
- Promotions (this will always be announced via the relevant news when the
  pieces are currently available)
- Trading between players (pieces only)
- Whole talismans bought from the Delosian shop (when in stock)
- Partial completion (see below.)
 
The Monks set contains the following talismans:

An odyssean tongue         - TALISMAN INFO ODYSSEANTONGUE
   - Purchaseable in Delos for 200 bound credits.
   - You may WHISPERTONGUE <phrase>, and then you will automatically utter that
     phrase at the moment of your demise.

 
A black headband         - TALISMAN INFO MONKHEADBAND
   - Purchasable in Delos for 300 bound credits.
   - While wearing this headband none of your mana draining defences shall
     impose their drains upon you, so as long as you are MEDITATING.

A taloned ring          - TALISMAN INFO TALONEDRING
   - Purchasable in Delos for 500 bound credits.
   - While wearing this ring you will grip tightly to all items that you are
     wielding, much like the gripping defence's functionality.

A cranes pennon         - TALISMAN INFO CRANEPENNON
   - Purchasable in Delos for 1000 bound credits.
   - UNFURL this pennon and the next two people to BOW to the pennon will enter
     into a mutually acknowledged duel. 
   - Neither of those people will be able to stray more than one room from the
     pennon until either five minutes has passed or one of the combatants is
     slain. 
   - Note: you cannot force someone to bow, before anyone gets ideas! 

An olive branch         - TALISMAN INFO OLIVEBRANCH
   - Purchasable in Delos for 2000 bound credits.
   - RAISE this branch and you will take no damage from external sources. 
   - This can only be done every 10 minutes and lasts ten seconds. 
   - Note that this does not protect you against self-inflicted damage such as
     HOLOCAUST or FULMINATION. It also respects all forms of hinder such as
     prone/paralysis/entanglement. 
   - Any offensive action will cause the effect to dissipate. 

A rallying banner       - TALISMAN INFO MONKBANNER
   - Purchasable in Delos for 2000 bound credits.
   - PLANT BANNER and all of your mutual allies upon the same continent and
     plane, who are also on balance and not on a monolith will be summoned 
     to the standard. Once planted you will need to wait for the standard to
     reset to you before you may PLANT it again.

A dark ash wood staff  - TALISMAN INFO ASHSTAFF
   - Purchasable in Delos for 2000 bound credits.
   - This staff functions as a level 3 Shikudo staff, but also permits you to
     SMITE THE GROUND WITH STAFF to cause a variety of effects, from the minor
     to the not so minor. 
   - Note that this is entirely uncontrollable so you should not expect to rely
     on any particular effect.

Partial Completions
--------------------
If you have two or three pieces of a talisman in the death item you can
TALISMAN COMPLETE PARTIAL <talismanname> to complete it for the remainder
of the bound credit value of the item as it is in the Delosian Talisman shop.
   DOING THIS WILL COMPLETE THE TALISMAN AND BIND IT TO YOU.
Talismans completed in this manner will have an altered tradein that
reflects its credit worth, including the credit purchased completion.

I.E
    You have: cruciblebase and cruciblebowl.
    You use TALISMAN COMPLETE PARTIAL CRUCIBLE and pay 500 bound credits.
       This is half the cost of the crucible in the shop because you already
       have half of the pieces.
    You get: a completed soulfire crucible talisman.
    This item has a tradein value of: 346 bound credits.
       This is 2/3rds of 520 credits (The 500 credits paid above, plus your 2
       pieces valued at 10 credits each.)
