18.5 Plants and Herbs

(See HELP HEALING LIST, HELP HEALING YOURSELF, HELP CURES, and HELP CURE LIST.)

Plants and herbs abound in Achaea. Learning their properties should be a high
priority for all adventurers.

By the proper use of herbs and plants you may
- remove or heal numerous afflictions.
- erect defences that prevent certain afflictions.
- create salves and elixirs, using the Remedies skill (HELP REMEDIES).

Store herbs and plants in the rift (HELP RIFT).

Plants and herbs may be eaten or smoked, in addition to their use as
ingredients for practitioners of the skill of Remedies.

The plants listed below are those that can be harvested and can be either used
in and of themselves, or combined with other elements in salves and elixirs
for beneficial effects. You may encounter many other kinds of plants throughout
your journeys in Achaea, including but not limited to mandrake root, coriander,
saffron, and many more -- some with unique properties and purposes, both
beneficial and nefarious, and some without.
