I cannot vouch for what Maran allegedly said, and I cannot keep, nor do I intend to, any fellow sentient being from having his or her own beliefs and opinions. Personally, as the spokesperson for the Church, I do believe that the shrines and animal sacrifice are indeed there to revere the gods, all the gods as superior, divine beings, they who have been created by the Logos for reasons beyond mortal comprehension, and who control and dictate the various aspects of existence. Shrines are monuments to the beauty of the divine, and it is not for us mortals to pick and choose. My humble mortal self personally couldn't imagine what achaea would be without any one of the gods, Eris, the Goddess of Chaos no less.
Sincerely,
Echo
