Gods?

You say the shrines are there as a service to the gods. I've heard this arguement several times, yet it causes me to wonder... which gods, exactly, are you serving? One would assume that such holy objects would be a devotion to all gods, which is heavily implied by the church's insistance that they are there for the gods. And yet, just yesterday, I heard Maran saying that perhaps the world would be better off without Eris. Yes, a churchie openly wishing ill upon a god? Perhaps these shrines aren ot in place so much to assist the gods, and the church's foolish attempt to disrupt the holy balance of the garden in their favour.
Penned by my hand on the 10th of Aeguary, in the year 226 AF.
