7.8 BUCKETS

The reason such a seemingly-trivial item gets its own helpfile is that
buckets have an important historical place in Achaea. In times past, the
Church erected Shrines about the land, and there was much war because of it,
with each side using endless buckets of blood to sanctify or defile shrines,
as they chose.

Now, buckets are used for mundane purposes - helping to bring water to raging
fires in order to douse them, for example.

The syntax for dousing (with a full bucket of water in hand) is as follows:

DOUSE ROOM|GROUND - to put out the fire in a room
DOUSE SAIL[S] - to put out the fire on your sails
DOUSE <person> - to put out the fire on <person>

Alternatively, buckets of water can be used to clean graffiti:

SCRUB WALLS - get rid of that pesky graffiti

In addition to these uses, buckets can also act as containers:

PUT <thing> IN BUCKET - to put something in
GET <thing> FROM BUCKET - to take something out!
