15.17 Administrative Penalties

For guidance on how we apply Achaea's rules and policies, and what you can expect if you fall foul of them, please read on:


Please be aware that these are our guidelines. When there are situations that deviate from the norm, we may apply penalties higher or lower than listed, the reason for this will be explained to the person receiving.


General note 1,
  If an offence is within 6 months of a previous punishment/warning, the response will escalate to the next level. If a prior offense of the same type has not occurred within the prior 6 months we begin at level 1. This may be waived for habitual offenders.

General note 2,
  If an offence continues while an action is in place (i.e other alts made and breaking rules, ignore circumvention, etc) the current penalty will be removed, we will escalate to the next level, include any new actors, and the duration will start over.

General note 3,
The warning in any penalty progression may be bypassed if a player has been previously warned about the policy on any of their other characters.

General note 4,
  This is not every rule in Achaea, simply the most common ones that we are asked to rule on via issue.


Charactersharing
=================
When a character created by one player is then given to or shared with another player to play.
   See HELP CHARACTER SHARING for guidance.

Permanently shrub the character that was shared/given away.
  

Multiplaying 
=============
When a player is logged on with two or more characters at the same time. 
   See HELP MULTIPLAYING for guidance.
   If seconds abuse is involved, skip to Seconds Abuse.
   If no interaction is made between the characters:

1st time - Warning.
2nd time - 3 day disfavour.
3rd time - 3 day shrub.
4th+     - increased periods of shrubbing. (7 days, 30, 90, 180, 1 year+)


Seconds Abuse (with or without multiplaying)
=============================================
When a player uses one character to benefit another of his or her characters.
   See HELP SECONDS for guidance.

1st time - Warning and deletion of shared goods/xp/gold/etc.
2nd time - 30 day shrub on both accounts, anything shared is deleted.
3rd time - 365 day shrub on involved accounts, anything shared is deleted.
4th+     - Permanent shrub on involved accounts/account wide at administrative discretion.


Harassment
===========
In general, an IGNORE must be in place before a charge of harassment can be put forth. If someone then tries to bypass that by having others pass messages, logging onto alts to send tells, etc, then it becomes harassment. 

If other rules are broken in the course of harassment (seconds, language rules, etc), we will assess the harshest penalty from across the rules and apply that. All relevant rules violations will be noted as having been escalated to the next level for future reference.

1st time - Warning.
2nd time - Shrub 30 days.
3th time - Shrub 180 days.
4th+ time - Shrub 365 days to permanently, depending on severity of harassment. 


AFK Auto-generation
====================
Being AFK while automatically generating goods, information, gold, fish, rats, herbs, etc.
   See HELP AUTOMATION for guidance.

1st time - Warning if obviously new, remove generated goods where possible.
2nd time - 7 day shrub, remove generated goods.
3rd time - 30 day shrub, remove generated goods.
4th+ time - 180 day shrub to permanent.


QQ from combat/theft
=====================
This includes journalling, force disconnect, and qqing.

1st - Warning
2nd - 1 day tdf
3rd - 3 day tdf
4th+ - 7+ day shrub

 
Language Infractions
=====================
Achaea is a PG13 environment, so excessive/unnecessary profanity or explicit language in a public environment or near someone who has not agreed to that kind of content is not appropriate. We do take into account context, especially during PK, feelings can run very high.

1st time: Warning (1 day mute if extremely inappropriate language used)
2nd time: 7 day mute
3rd time: 7 day shrub
4th+ time: 30+ day shrub


Hatespeech/Discriminatory Language
===================================
OOC prejudice and discrimination is not acceptable anywhere in Achaea.

1st time - 1 day mute.
2nd time - 7 day shrub
3rd+ time - 30+ day shrub


PK-related offenses
====================
These include improper contracts, egregious PK without reason, and more.

1st time - warning
2nd time - 3 day tdf and xp removal.
3rd time - 7 day tdf and xp removal. 
4th time - 3 day shrub.
5th+ time - 7+ day shrub.
