For the Church and the People

A man can spend his entire life fighting for his God and his country, and
never really understand what the true ramifications of his actions entail.
The Infernal soldier who spends his days laying waste to peasant's fields,
raping the farmer's wife, slaughtering his children, all the while trying
to make believe that he's becoming stronger by shedding the blood of the
innocent, that he's maintaining his honour in the face of outright primal
behavior, is no more a fool than the Priest who thinks that somehow his
words will have affect on an uncaring world -- a world that knows only the
truth of what their body tells them, a world absent of any meaningful and
intelligent change.

We live in a state of perpetual confusion. The prevailing thought that I
see in the world is that people just want to be left alone to do whatever
suits them. Are your spirit's so thoroughly empty? It's a sad thing to
see a man or woman who is void of any true spiritual satisfaction. It is
easier for me to say, "Become a member of the Church, and you will find
fulfillment," but I know that is meaningless to you. So few of us really
display what the Church truly stands for, believes in.

The most I could ever offer as a member of the Church is true fulfillment
and spiritual satisfaction. I don't say this in the name of the Church,
not at all. I am speaking to those that have a true wish to find that bit
of spiritual satisfaction that has always eluded you.

I have gone through a great struggle, recently, trying to erase the taint
that I have besmirched my soul with, when I left the Church for a time to
devote myself to my own spiritual maturity. When I did return, it seemed
to me a selfish act. To those who wish to learn from me, I offer an open
invitation to conversation and debate regarding the nature and growth of
the Achaean mentality concerning religion, spirituality, and the growing
lack of a true and meaningful faithful consciousness.

Walk in the Light,
Israfel.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Miraman, in the year 272 AF.
