treaty

I feel quite embarrassed about what I previously posted
I didn't read the treaty myself because I didn't know where
the treaty was written down. I realize the war was between
the church and Astan not Shallam and Ashtan as I thought.
Now here is my new thought on the treaty. If you defile a
shrine protected by the treaty, then you are a main target to
having a bounty on your head. If you were to erect a shrine in
the areas the treaty tells you not erect shrines in, then you
will suffer the same consequences. Also, if you are to sanctify
a shrine erected in the areas specified, you should expect the
same punishment the shrine erector must face. Furthermore, if
the treaty is broken by either side, the side suffering from
the injustice should propose a punishment to be laid on the
violator's guild. That guild should consider punishing the
criminal within reason.
With that said, I think everyone this treaty affects should
consider Claryssa's ammendment to the treaty. Although I am
a priest myself and strongly support my guild, I do agree that
we get the most benefit from the treaty and it is slightly
unfair to Ashtan's citizens. In a way, it seems the Church
actually won the war they lost through diplomatic deception.
I would like to congratulate my friends on their great skill
in conversation. However, I think we have just been
discovered and we should acknowledge our former enemies' pleas.
May the voice of reason avail!
