I am almost ashamed to add to this debacle. Heh.
I grow weary of this whining about good and evil. We are but mortals and none of us can be perfect in any way. This includes perfectly good and perfectly evil.
Why must we all look at things in black and white? The world is much prettier with a few more colors thrown in.
Strife claims to be evil, but I have seen him be quite charming and kind. You call Nimos evil, but I have found him to be quite fair and logical.
Echo claims to be good, yet does not hesitate to kill those who disagree.
(No, I am not taking sides, I am using examples to make a point!)
What is wrong with you people that you have to label everyone and wrap them up into a nice neat little package to suit your own perceptions? Why can't people just be?
All you 'evil' people ranting about shrines; I agree they are annoying but what are you willing to give in exchange for their removal?
And if you DID make and agreement in the past, why are you suddenly refusing to honour it? (I said if, mind you, I know nothing but the rumors.)
Why do you want history to remember you as intolerant tyrants?
All you 'good' people standing rigid in the face of their demands; Why are you so rigid? If the shrines are so harmless, why is it that removing them such a big deal?
I mean, they are everywhere! I also might point out that Ashtan did claim the land you're arguing over when the opportunity presented itself to BOTH of you.
This whole mess comes out of your prejudices. My definition of the word: Ignorance, intolerance, narrow mindedness and immaturity.
It seems I am calling you all a bunch of bratty, stupid bigots. Get over it.
I'm not saying I'm better than you, honestly, Shallam and Ashtan could both fall into the sea and I'd only mourn the rats.
I can, however, tell each of you from personal experience that the other is quite reasonable when approached in the proper way.
I suggest you all get together over a big barrel of mead and a pipeful of cactus weed and I'm sure you'll find some happy compromise. This is ridiculous.
May your hearts find the serenity of nature's balance,
Cynne
