Greetings,
I dont often post. I apologise if this goes awry. I was perusing the various posts and noticed a few things that seemed a bit surly and puerile. My opinion may mean little but, the posts in which individuals refuse to call individuals and organisations by their proper names, using in their stead infantile derivations meant to demean, I was apalled.
Expressing ones opinion is something I would defend to the highest. I firmly believe in everyone's right to say what is on their mind. However, the use of such tactics only makes me it seem the author of the post is more after grinding an axe and trying to cast aspersions through infantile names than in presenting a serious, well-thought commentary on certain circumstances.
I frequently disagree with many people and I am very, very vocal. (Some of us know this well). However, I try to maintain a modicum of decorum and converse in a form befitting a lady of the land or, really, anyone at all. I strive to get my point across without name calling, (alrighty, there are a few exceptions, *g*) and handle discord in a decent manner to promote peace. It is too bad we dont see more of that on the posts and from people of apparent importance or at least regard.
I apologise, I made no outline, (so much for well-thought out), I just hope I conveyed my opinion that a little courtesy in discussions, even those in which there is disagreement if not out right strife, would be a welcome change.
Thank you all for your time.
Sincerely,
Very Vocal, Halcyon Do'Manthren
