You can be as long winded as you like, but it's simple. Ashtan doesn't promote peace and isn't a peace loving city, there are pacifists among out citizens, but the city of Ashtan is and always has been a city of power. That is the reasoning that we will not have a piece of oneiros' temple in our fair city, not that Nimos is no longer overseer so his say is no longer valid. His order to allow your altar to be built still stands, it was however vetoed by the archons and is now null and void.
