Dear sir, I only made suggeestions based on the verbal abuse that both sides have been flinging at each other. And the fact that no solution has been reached, makes my post even more relevant. Something must be done, and I am calling on both Hashan and the Forest to stop bickering over who has a better reason to claim as their own.
Now is the time to act to prevent the atrocities that both sides will commit in the name of honour and justice. There is no justice or honour in destruction, and I am only trying to help you avert what I see you headed towards. If neither side gives in, then one, or maybe both, will break. Listen to me and let both sides of this struggle give in, and both will made stronger. That is what is called compromise.
An example of compromise to those who are cannot see it because of their emotions, would be to have Hashan take all of their flags out of Northern Ithmia, and in return, the Druids and Sentinels help in protection and defense of the city. Another example could be that the Druids allow a road to be cut through their forest and in return, Hashan pays reparations for the damage that the road will cause to the forest. These are just ideas. As you stated, Galdrion, I do not have all of the facts. I am just an concerned observer who does not want to see blood shed over something that can be worked out.
I am not a wise man to tell you how to go about running your Forest or City. I am just a concerned observer who wishes that no blood be shed over this. And it will. Something's gotta happen now or something's gotta give. It will come.
Now think with me for a moment. There are two other cities with armies. They have been fighting each other and leaving you alone for the most part. What would druids do if Ashtan or Shallam started marching armies toward Hashan? You would have to fight for them if you wanted to save your forest. And what if the earlier conflict between the Druids and the Priests had turned into war? Hashan would have felt the fighting just as much as the Forest. As long as Northern Ithmia surrounds Hashan, road or not, the Forest and the City will have to find a balance in between the protection of one and the protection of the other.
May you find the balance that will lead you on the path of Honour and Justice.
