There is an old line, shared among the chivalric ranks as the centuries continue to turn, that has been embedded in the hearts of knights across the lands and the ages: adhering to path of knighthood does not mean we will never err, even as we stride for perfection. But it -does- mean that we will allow the full weight of each failure to rest upon our shoulders without regard for excuse.

Those who have genuine complaints or offenses to take ought indeed take them to the Knight-Arbiter or to their local knight-councillor; the past few decades have seen knights chastened and stripped of their knighthood for conduct unbecoming, and when a knight fails to act as one, we suffer the consequences for it.

Those who just want to bitch, piss, and moan are unfortunately likely to keep to the newsboards instead, as is Sapient tradition. But do not take my word for it; keep the close eye. Observe diligently. And discern, as the years and decades pass, whose words seem most-closely aligned with the actions undertaken. Is it Grakhir? Is it Grandue? Is the the Guild?

Time will tell, I trust, far better than any missive I could hope to write.

Laiq tsuura,

Sir Aodfionn Wintermourne
A Gaian Knight

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Aeguary, in the year 965 AF.
