Ser Aerek Ancyrion,

I find it interesting that you used the possessive regarding the Code, but I will leave that aside.
I appreciate the response, though in both responses it seems the Code is malleable to onea own, or onea cliquea , liking. A Code such as this should always be strived for and when you come up short atonement is the process. While we may find excuses and malleability easier it IS, quite unfortunately, the easy way out. I did not leave out or omit purposely, if anything the first part helps make my point, the latter portion is where Knights apparently find their wiggle room within the Code, when needed. It is my view the Code should be aspired to, perhaps foolishly otherwise where is the ideal in the Code?
Before I get too far afield though, my original point was it seemed a shame that a Knight would issue a pre-warning that they wouldna even consider any due diligence in terming even the youngest or most pacifistic a a hreata Also, his missive was an explicit threat from a Knight, who should hold himself above such things, which is what prompted my query.
As well your ending statement seemed a thinly veiled swipe, so I offer some perspective in return. It is only a ouraKnights who excuse your own doings the rest of Sapience watches and takes note that the Code is an empty husk of what it formerly resembled, or should have resembled, the pinnacle of achievement the Knightly Accolade. The only ones seeking such these days are like-minded bullies, for lack of a better term, who would rather have backup for their ill behaviour than aspire to any Code.
In conclusion, Posting some blanket warning does not excuse unKnightly behaviour. It does not set aside the due diligence required in every action and every word that a Knight takes.
And to Granduea recent argument, perhaps an over-arching Knighta Guild is just an idea that has past as each faction and each God and therefore each separate Knightly Order will have its own direction-ideology and should only be accountable to its local and independent Order, where excuses can certainly be called out, as opposed to a Council that only argues to protect its own, poor behaviours.
I appreciate the discourse, it has been meaningful.
In Progress,
-Grakhir Rian
