Reflections of the past, walking off the page?

I have been observing the recent emergence of Myatt's animated art with a sense of both curiosity and unease. It reminded me, perhaps due to the eerie familiarity of certain images coming to life, of a period from long ago, when the Landmarks were destroyed and subsequently gave way to the return of Makali, the Goddess of Destruction. A time when, in the midst of all this tumult, whispers spoke of a stolen mastery of mirror magic, and a certain Margravine who, it is said, may have walked off the page with knowledge once held by the Conclave.

The Conclave, from what we witnessed then, were masters of reflection and image, wielding arcane arts that allowed them to manipulate not only the physical appearance of objects, but also the very essence of perception itself. Their mastery over mirrors and illusions was unparalleled, making them formidable guardians of secrets and potent wielders of subtle power. It was their deep understanding of reflection that allowed them to craft illusions of immense complexity, and it is precisely this mastery that was stolen - knowledge that could bend reality to the will of its possessor.

Now, I do not claim certainty here, and the details of that time have grown vague to my hermit mind, leaving gaps I can no longer fill on my own. But these current apparitions - these works of pure art given life - bear a certain reflection, almost an echo, of what transpired then, as the landmarks seemed to mirror themselves into something far more dangerous.

Could it be that the influence of the stolen mirror magic has resurfaced? It seems almost as if someone might be pulling threads long since forgotten. This faint suspicion is what has stirred me from my usual reclusive ways, if only to inquire of those with clearer memories or more thorough records. Perhaps this is nothing but an aging hermit's musings. Or perhaps, somewhere within the resonating glass of our history, the reflection of the Margravine remains, still casting her influence.

Not everyone remembers the Mirror on Polyargos from the Season of Landmarking or have insight into the last known whereabouts of Margravine Keltaine in the years that followed, nor the supposed mirror magic she possessed, and anyone possessing that knowledge might be of use to discovering the identity of the stranger. Even if it proves to be but a shadowy coincidence, the historical parallels are fascinating, and I believe the public's curiosity might help fill in these missing fragments from our collective memory.

May we see clearly that which has been reflected,
