To the Forestal Heretic

To the Forestal Heretic Jems,

Your continued refusal to admit to your own ignorance of what transpired while you slept is an insult to the intelligence of everyone you seek to lead. You wish to raise up a new Council, and yet you have no actual knowledge or ability to do so. All of your experience is so far in the past as to be of zero value in the current age.

You reference the Council of Oakstone, in fact you coopt the very name of it, as if adding the word and were clever, as if Oakstone wasn't completely irrelevant so long before I was even born, I'm not even sure my parents would have considered it relevant in their childhood.

You pretend to understand what the Viridian Charter means, and yet I'm not even sure you read any of it other than the words you quoted. The youngest adventurer in Eleusis is taught about the Charter, a gift for us from Lady Gaia, the Elder Goddess of Nature Herself, and understands that the Falsities of Iron and Stone doesn't refer to the literal materials themselves. If it did we would fulfill the many, many wishes of the city dwellers and forsake weapons and armour of steel, constructing mines, and even building ships. We don't, because holding such a childish view of the Charter is beneath us, and we know better.

In 882 AF the village of Eleusis unanimously voted to become a democratic theocracy, united under the leadership of Lady Gaia. In return, Lady Gaia declared that Eleusis was to be the centre of Nature, the worldly focus of Her Realm. As such, the village of Eleusis represents Her will on the Prime Plane, as the High Warden is Her voice, and enacts Her will, and the High Coven of Earth is comprised of Her most dedicated servants. We all stand united, sworn and dedicated to the last remaining Divine of Nature, having taken in the essences of Lady Artemis and Lord Lupus, the last two Divine associated with Nature to fall.

To deny one is to deny all. To deny all is to face the Wrath of She who inherited the essence of the Great Wrath, and those who serve Her. Make the right choice, renounce your heretical claims, and if you truly wish to serve Nature as a forestal, then come join us and we can fill in the gaps of what has happened in the years you slept.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Glacian, in the year 948 AF.
