On A Knight's Honour

Dear Sir,
What is a knight's honour?
I've heard, over the years, many definitions. I would like to hear how you define your own. I ask, because, in your last newspost to Regent Nezaya, you expose a worrying hypocrisy that might be considered unbefitting of a stereotypical 'knight', and I wonder if I am mistaken in what a knight truly is.
You accuse Nezaya of lies, when she makes an attempt to correct misinformation. You accuse her of slander, when she retaliates against the very same incurred by one of your own. You coerce her with violence should she refuse to meet the violence of your Squire's challenge, a challenge she has every right to refuse, and pre-emptively interpret her refusal as cowardice while condemning her to violence either way.
If Nezaya's actions are distasteful to you, should they not be twofold so coming from your own Squire? Should not a knight take an accusation of slander seriously, rather than rush to the recourse of violence at the drop of a hat? Should not one's own house be in order before decrying the disorder of another?
And so I ask, what is a knight's honour, that it should be so easily bruised?
I anticipate you intend to answer the tip of this quill with the point of a blade. Know that I will accept your challenge, should you choose to do so. However, I should like to inform you that I come not from a place of hostility, but only to challenge you in a different arena: I challenge you to reconsider your approach.
Sincerely,
Taelle Starling
