The Gift of Song

Sapients,

Our voice is a gift. Once we were voiceless and unheard, but Sveh saw that we were many and would have much to say on Urd itself, and so He granted us this eternal boon. We speak and He listens. We abide silence and His words move through us, manifesting as greater thought.

Many of you have joined us for our svengsara and some jocundity around Karl Abyzer's fire. Now I invite you to join us in song. In three months' time in early Valnuary, I will host a series of ballads under the open sky. One among our number will begin with a traditional ode. Then the stage will be yours. Let us hear your purest voices and songbirds, the celebrated singers and heartbreakers and historians of your time.

While I enjoy longer ballads, your song or snippet on this occasion should be no more than three verses or twelve lines total. Arrange these as you like. Shorter is fine. Musical accompaniment is also fine, but your main instrument must be vocal.

Graciously,

Sveha Oriya
One Among Many
