Eoka - You speak of Sparrow?s Rest as a backwater nowhere whose name people don't even know - please stop talking out of ignorance. The people of Eleusis have spoken of Sparrow?s Rest constantly for the last decade or more. Harenae, when she stood as one of us, made her home there for a time, denying herself of the desert where she felt most comfortable. Though they rejected the village of Eleusis for offenses centuries old, they were our people.
A community of Druids, the people of Sparrow?s Rest were our brothers and sisters. They traveled with the Druids and Sentinels until shortly before the rediscovery of Eleusis. Their anger at the Sentinels' use of a forbidden skill and the severing of their groves drove them to pull away and form their own settlement, apart from Eleusis. Healing that ancient division had become a passion of the Earthmother?s village, one we may never be able to fulfill now.
While I reluctantly agree with you that the mortal races must work together in this fight, because the threat is just that large, I do not see you as someone who can lead that fight. Those who rise to prominence in this conflict cannot be those who speak from such deep ignorance, who see Sparrow?s Rest as an "unclaimed, backwater village". Sparrow?s Rest was, and even in its destruction still is, claimed by the Earthmother, as all communities of forestals are, and they were, they are, known and remembered.
Penned by my hand on the 17th of Valnuary, in the year 922 AF.
