There once was a man
Who found a very pretty flower
And marveled at its beauty.

Day by day he looked at it
And told all of his friends about it
And they came over and appreciated the flower too.

Never did he seek to prune it
Nor wonder why it grew so big
Or find out the means to tame it

Until one day he noticed
That it seemed to regard him curiously
Then devoured him and went about its way.
