"True colours," as written by Estinien in his prior post, is obviously an idiom. Only someone whose eyes have grown so accustomed to the dark that they no longer see sense would think otherwise.

A 'kaleidoscope' is a tube containing colourful, stained glass or paper and mirrors whose reflections produce changing patterns that are visible through an eyehole. There's one for sale in Eleusis now, if your lot wants to bribe a young one to acquire that for you too (Shop the Aegean Outpost!).

The bland, colourless world of Progress that Hashan purportedly heralds is a grim. Imagine not seeing the shining alabaster cloak of snowfall or the golden shawl of summer's surrender shroud the forest crowns.

Let the young who still wish to use their eyes consider whether that's really a future they want to support.
