Regent,
While I agree with your words, and even a few of your actions, you seem to have omitted the moral of this story. Hashan did not claim victory in these Championship Games, though the centurion called Eryl fought well. You failed with the rest, when confronted with the crushing might and faith of Evil.
Lies of omission are still lies. Unless you are Targossian, in which case you have Divine providence to twist the Truth to your liking.
It is true that mortality's greatest gift is the mortal will. To decide for ourselves the measure of our lives and our worth. Yet mortals are deeply flawed creatures, and cannot simply be let to roam. The pursuit of Chaos is mortal will. It was by Keorin's will that the Imperiate disgraced the ideals of Cyrene, as it was by Lyndee's will to hire her as mercenary and then, when she had expended her use, denounce her. Imyrr willed the Aegeans out of Ashtan to infect and insurrect another faction, and we know that Eleusis has no will at all, only numbers. Without a harsh shepherd, cattle will migrate to the pastures they are most comfortable in, and comfort is the beginning of mortal decay.
Those you have dismissed as mindless slaves have again proven to be your betters. They too made their choice. Under the blood-red banner of the One True Lord, Mhaldor is ascendant. All men are not created equal, but when the bonds of slavery are imposed on them, they are forced to reckon with the true spirit of Iniquity that ravages this wounded world. They thrive, or they perish. Thus do they thank their oppressors.
A slave becomes Tyrannus. A slave wins the Staff of Nicator. A slave serves his Master dutifully, and through Him, perfects the execution of his earthly will. That is the purpose of an almighty God. Not morality, and not self-delusion. You may call your service to Lord Twilight a business arrangement, but you are still in His employ. A puppet needn't see her strings to think them cut.
As before, I would welcome an honest conversation with your Priestess Telaan on the modern adoption of "Truth" into your established dogma. I can only assume that my prior request was denied out of fear of the unknown.
His,
