Dear Lii,
Perseverance and fortitude against all odds is a strength possessed by
few and Sothantos was one of them. He embarked on a path unprecedented
for any mortal. A path beset with challenges, some natural, while others
coming from places most unexpected.
It's easy to think he gave up rather than stand by us. It's easy to say
he was a coward for ending his life. It is easy to judge before one has
sought to understand.
What we will do? It's true we face hardships. We've lost a leader but a
new one will step up. Take comfort in knowing our purpose remains steady
no matter what life throws our way.
Your Master's Teachings are already being learned elsewhere, I'm sure it
needs no exposition. We do not need to oppress the weak to affirm some
notion of strength. One does not grow by eating one's own tail.
We seek to ensure Creation prospers without malignant forces hindering
its natural growth. That is what we decided and that is what we'll be
doing.
I thank you for your concern. Perhaps the red fog has not completely
overtaken your senses. Yet.
Love,
Ada
