Crossroads

The Faith Recusant,

Strength is determined, not by he who wages the most seemingly hopeless battle and shouts most loudly, but by he who perseveres and overcomes.

You are at a crossroads. Your former leader, Sothantos, chose to embrace the blade, as it were, rather than continue to stand by you. Now, you must face the decision.

What will you do?

The Master's Teachings show us the reality of Hardship. The Seventh Truth: "The spirit may be made stronger by enduring hardships, both self-imposed and externally-imposed."

Will you disband and return to your erstwhile homes if any would have you? Will you embrace the ease of dormancy and perhaps embrace the blades yourselves?

Or...

Will you take the strength you have learned at the hands of those who have persecuted you and rise? Will you forge yourselves into something beyond what even he could strive for by tolerating no weakness, honing your spirits with endless discipline against those who would bring you down, and showing them the same mercy which they have shown you...none?

The decision is yours to make.

Know that whilst you embark upon this struggle, there is some measure of pride to be gained if you choose to stand your ground. Indeed, I am most interested in seeing what a group of rogues who have chosen to defy the standards of society whilst yet coming to act with the innate knowledge of the LORD's Truths will do.

In His Service,
Distrinnith Lii Lichlord.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Sarapin, in the year 847 AF.
