Dear Lyndee,
I realise Truth is no longer a tenet but I would hope over two hundred
years of practising it would've taught one how to or at least try to
properly establish what is or isn't. Apparently not.
Let me help you with that.
Silas is not and has never been a member of the Faith Recusant. We have
nothing against Targossas, or Them. Now, with that out of the way...
Lady Aurora Herself taught everybody is born with the capacity to serve
Good. Good is the force we channel through our actions when we choose
to nurture Creation, when we choose to defend Creation.
Lady Aurora said the advancement of Creation may be served from outside
the walls of Their city, albeit not as effectively without Their
guidance or the protection the Dawnspear offers. And that is why Their
city tolerates Zaphar and New Hope, neither of which serve Them. In
fact, New Hope is not even allied to Targossas as of this writing.
You sent us a missive of our actions bringing harm to the Dawnspear and
its allies along with Their shrine network but what did we ever do? All
we have been doing is fighting the oppressors of Evil and those who
continue to support and defend Chaos's influence on Creation. How does
that translate to bringing harm on the Dawnspear itself? We have never
tried to hide behind Their city's walls, we have our own properties the
enemies routinely retaliate against.
You mentioned malignment of the Lady Aurora and the city of Targossas by
a few people but that is not representative of the entire organisation.
Has the precision afforded by the sword that was Truth truly been lost
to the hammer of.. whatever it is now?
You say we're not deserving of Targossian protection but we did not ask
for any protection to begin with. As far as Their protection goes I hope
Their concern for Creation includes all its inhabitants, we do not
specifically ask for Their attention.
Did you not want us to fight against enemies of Creation? I hope not.
If anything, Targossas could be allied with us in the same vein as New
Hope or Zaphar instead of blanket branding us enemies just for existing;
something not done even for Ashtan, Hashan, or Mhaldor till their people
actually attack the Dawnspear or Their shrines*.
Ever since the dawn of Creation, Good has been present and will remain
so til Creation is destroyed. Good is served by Creation's inhabitants,
including the Bloodsworn Divine who lead Their charge with Targossas as
the vanguard of Their intentions.
We have a purpose and it aligns with the force of Good. That is all we
seek to pursue, even if it means mobilising all of Creation to a
singular cause; without herding people behind walls.
Love,
Ada
* People are enemied for participating in rituals such as the Key Rite
as well. The Faith Recusant have never been involved in such things.
