Seneschal,
You bring conflict to His mountain, defile His shrine at His cities gates, and you then pretend to be the affronted? Come now, I know you are not the most wise of your Masters servants, but that is an interesting twist even for you. While War is Patron to the Shield, the troops of Cyrene have stepped forth from all walks of life and background, from all Divine loyalties that we have and are able to manifest, and we drove your machinations back to your own gates. Then, when you couldn't claim the mountain or the Muurn, for one month, you turned to outlying territories rather than continue the exchange you were horrifically losing.
Hashan, your Seneschal's getting desperate and makes up stories to suit his own interests. He claimed sovereignty of Caer Witrin for your Patron, from the Order of the Lord Bard, because he couldn't keep the road to Cyrene or the Muurn. While we have struck at the Sunderlands and Tasur'ke, we have laid no sword on the citizens of either location, your Seneschal would have you believe that we, who did not seek this battle, are the architects of such massacre, because he has failed to protect it from being turned from the influence of Lord Twilight. So just to clarify, your Darkwalker friends have attacked Lord Scarlatti, Lord Neraeos and Lord Phaestus, long before the Imperiate used her abilities as an Aegean and entered this conflict from an Order perspective, and we only struck back after months of hostile actions by YOUR leadership...but the Imperiate's the warmonger?
Mezghar has long sought to instigate conflict with my Lord, even back in his days in Targossas, likely due to an unknown disdain for Him and His works. Maybe he hates dwarves? I don't know, he's a petty man with no honor and even less morals. I assure you this, the Chosen of Lord Phaestus will not halt their movements as long as Hashan and your leadership seek conflict, we ask our fellow Cyrenians to not bend to such a threat and realize its auditor wishes only to divide and destroy.
I offer this assurance, we will not attack the inhabitants of Tasur'ke in this conflict, we do not expect such good sense and will from your own ranks, but perhaps you will all surprise us.
All throughout this conflict, Cyrene has operated on a retaliation basis, only escalating our actions as you do. We do not desire this running exchange of conflict and battle, but as long as your Darkwalker leadership continues to operate in such a warmongering manner, we have no choice but to fight back, as any other peoples would.
The shrines to War were raised when you insisted on trying to start a religious conflict with a city that follows no single Divine and where battles over shrines are nearly unheard of. Should you stop trying to zealously expand His influence to the very gates of our city, they will be moved back to the lands they were before.
We are under no influence but the will of the Cyrenian people, who have united in defense of our home, and the mountain He allowed us to settle on. You wished for and antagonized this conflict Mezghar, don't try and blame anyone else for your own warmongering.
