Dear Sapience,

The final flecks of gilt have fallen from Shallam's image and it is
clear to everyone what state the city is in. I am sure many of you have
grudges against the city and feel no remorse for its decline. However, I
wish to make a personal request.

Although many people have left the city, there still remain some of us
who fight against Mhaldor. If any of you are willing to help in the
conflict against the armies of Evil, I promise we who remain will stand
unflinching in the front line against the enemy. You will find willing
comrades in the battle against Mhaldor.

You may say 'this is not my war' but think what will happen when Shallam
is finally defeated. It will be your gods, your homes and your families
that the forces of Evil will feed on. Mhaldor will pick you off one by
one.

Aegeans, is Shallam your real enemy or is Mhaldor? I have been surprised
to see Mhaldorians and Aegeans working together. Should you decide to
combat the Evil that is spreading across Sapience, once more, rather
than aid it, we who still fight in Shallam will happily fight with you.
