Your invitation

Dearest Herenicus,
I must admit your post brought quite a bit of amusement to my life, and
so I feel obligated to thank you for that. Indeed, it's been quite some
time since I had the pleasure of reading such well-worded humgii feces.
While I'm sure I don't speak for much of Shallam, I'm not all that
saddened by the en masse desertion, as you call it. If they're going to
leave because our Patron doesn't give them three hundred credits a month
for "combat prowess," so be it. You talk of real faith, but to do so in
a post that praises those who left behind the ideals they claim to have
fought for simply because it made their lives easier strikes me as...
unfitting, shall we say?
You call our government worthless. I'm quite proud of them for having
the dedication to stick around and actually work for the good of Shallam
when people like you and our recently departed do nothing but trash-talk
them. I wonder, Herenicus, when was the last time you actually talked to
a Vizier about what he or she was doing? In fact, I'll offer an
invitation of my own:
Come to Shallam. Have the guts to do what's right even when half the
City despises you for it because it means they're bound by rules. Take
into consideration the wishes of everyone, not just the most powerful
and influential citizens. Actually take a moment to -think-, before
acting in a way that would endanger the citizens we all seek to protect.
Once you've done that, maybe your views on Shallam will be something
more than meaningless propoganda and blind hatred.
