Firstly let me say that I love you dearly, niece, but I felt that your
post was unfair, particularly to Erhon.

The reason you were ousted from Ashtan was not due to your dialect,
although the original issue may have been caused by Khensu's objections
to this. That matter had been dealt with, and should have been put
behind all of the parties involved. You protested against your
treatment, and thus the situation was reviewed and corrected. End of
story.

That you had a clash with Khensu which probably wasn't ever really
resolved is not Ashtan's problem, nor is it Erhon's. Personally, I have
had a number of disagreements with Erhon myself in the past, and do not
always agree with his methods, however I do believe that he does what he
feels is best for the city at all times. In all fairness, you had been
given a number of warnings regarding stirring up dissent and speaking
ill of archons on ct in the past.

If a city leader does not show loyalty and support for his or her
council members, the entire leadership and structure of the city is
undermined. Of course loyalty is also due to citizens, but the ultimate
decision making lies in the hands of the council, and even though
mistakes are made, Erhon's duty is to do what he can to ensure that
respect for the council is upheld so that total chaos doesn't ensue. The
idea of freedom isn't total anarchy, but the freedom to make choices as
to how to live one's life, and no one is able to make such choices
without some form of structure and leadership.

Anyway, this isn't my area of expertise, so I don't want to dig myself
into a hole here. The point of my post is to try and point out that you
were cast from Ashtan not because of your dialect, but because time and
again you had raised this issue, after it had been dealt with in a
fashion which SHOULD have been to the satisfaction of all parties,
yourself included.

The manner in which you raised it was questionable, as time and again
you showed disrespect for the city council in general, and certain
members in particular, despite having been warned to cease this
behaviour or be ousted. These warnings were not given in the mode of a
dictatorship, but in that of a democracy, in that the majority of
citizens weren't particularly interested in hearing your ravings on ct,
and the leaders put in a lot of hard work for which they get little
appreciation, and they most certainly do not deserve your condemnation
over matters which have been dealt with, and should be left in the past.
Stirring up dissent in this way is entirely unecessary and detrimental
to a city.

Again, let me just point out that I love you as my niece, but I can't
just sit here and allow you to make unjust accusations. I have a nice
present for you when you have calmed down, so send me a tell and I'll
take you to the sweet shoppe in Cyrene and buy you an icecream and cheer
you up.
