Lady Tarah:
I do hope you'll forgive me if I offend Thee with my words that will
follow, but I found Thy post too intriguing to ignore giving a response
to.
I consider myself a partial "expert" on Chaos, though assuredly I am
Twilight's Child and as such I devote much of my studies to Dark things,
however, having been an Occultist all my years, I have come quite
familiar with Chaos and the Lady Eris, and the ways of both.
I can understand why You would have such a downtrodden view of Chaos,
being She who is, or once was, the Lady of Harmony (now your title
reflects you are Lady of Vundamere, so I am not sure if You still claim
Harmony or if You now instead are a close ally of Lady Kastalia), and
naturally Chaos and Harmony are most likely sworn enemies. However, in
my studies of Chaos, I have always been taught that Chaos is both
creator and destroyer, and indeed always must there be a balance between
the two.
Lady Eris experienced great joy in causing confusion, disorder, and even
"destroying" a few things. But She also understood and preserved the
Balance, and indeed I think it is not in Her character, even in Her
"maddened" state, to bring forth such beings of Chaos that You spoke of
and destroy the whole world. Lady Eris was a gentle Chaos, not a
vengeful one. She delighted in confusion, not destruction, otherwise Her
pyramid would be full of death traps rather than mazes.
I must commend you though, my being a daughter of Darkness, I do applaud
Your manipulation of words towards Lord Aegis and Your attempts to turn
Him against His own wife. Your attempts to cause inner Strife within Him
are most impressive, and I, being a Darkwalker as long as I have been
Occultist or Ashtanite, find your application of our old techniques
intriguing. My Father, were He not sleeping, would be most impressed
with Your post.
In closing, my Lady Tarah, I do hope perhaps You will reconsider Chaos
as a natural force of nature, not a potential threat to existance,
though I think that perhaps would be similar to me holding a Dark sermon
in Shallam and expecting to not be enemied or killed.
In Darkness,
