The time for joining the Golden Pawn Tournament has ended. Now, we all
wait for the games to begin. First, let's have a look at the basic rules
for this tournament:

1.) Each team has to pay a fee, that is 10k per player and 5k for every
additional player, and they are allowed to have up to 2 reserves (so a
max. number of 5 persons). However, anytime, if one of the players
misses a match or he just can't continue, someone from the house (if a
reserve is not available) can join paying 5k and taking his place.

2.) First round: A God(ess) will place the names of all the houses that
have joined in a top hat and will draw them, matching them until each
house fights another one. If one house has no pair and its lucky to be
the last standing in the Top Hat, it goes on. Same goes for the next
rounds.

3.) A match between two houses consists of games. For each game we will
use the same random-drawing system to decide which player, from the ones
nominated by each House plays with which. If a House has 1-2 reserves,
each of those reserves can assist a player of their choice from their
house (assist as in suggsting him via tells how and where to move and
being present in the same room). At the end of the 3 games the house
with 2 victories at least (or maybe 3, who knows) wins.

4.) In the room where each chess-game is held, only the two players and
maybe an observer from those who set up the Tournament may stay. Other
persons are not allowed.

5.) Every game will be timed. There will be 30 minutes in which the two
players can show their skill in chess. The player who will have more
points by the end of the 30 minutes or that will check-mate his opponent
shall be declared victorious. Each House, however, has the right to call
3 times for extra time. Extra time means 15 more minutes more.

6.) Takebacks are allowed but only as follows. Each player has the right
to do one takeback per game and only if he decides to undo his last move
in less than 15 seconds after he made his move.

7.) Prizes: 1st Place -> 50% of gathered fees AND the Golden Pawn Trophy
2nd Place -> 25% of gathered fees
and 3rd place 10% of gathered fees.

If a player is caught cheating...in any way, his House will be
disqualified from the Tournament and I hope the Gods will not look too
bright upon them. This is an honorable competition and we must all show
respect to our fair opponents.
