Are you keeping tabs on your government Cyrene?

Just the other day I was browsing for a plot in the cyrene subdivision
when I stumbled across a plot that was a "waterway," a waterway (ie. a
piece of river) owned by a Cyrenian citizen named Saidie. I came to the
conclusion that Cyrene must now be selling water plots, so I added to my
list a couple water plot locations I was interested in. I messaged both
the Imperiate and Minister of development my interest in purchasing a
water plot, and the Imperiate contacted me first saying that though she
knew it was possible, but that the Divine didn't allow or want this
selling of waterways and she didn't know how this happened.
Secret selling of water plots to priveliged people in Cyrene? Why then
did the Imperiate herself not even know about this in the first place?
Upon further research at that moment by the Imperiate, the Imperiate
says to me that since the plot cannot be returned to the city, so "we'll
just consider Saidie to be very lucky."
Upon further research of my own, I find that this Saidie individual is
the Imperiate's daughter. CLANHELP THE BEAR LODGE and see for yourself.
It finally dawns on me - Of course there'd be no punishment nor
reprimand for "testing if a water plot can be bought" and being in
cahootz with the Minister of development! Of course! Not even a question
about why the Minister would be testing this if it's already determined
that buying waterways is possible to do. Not even a question about why
it was the Imperiate's daughter involved in testing that the Imperiate
did not even know about herself. And not even a question about why this
testing was KEPT A SECRET from the Imperiate, since the Imperiate
herself only found out the other month when I inquired as to how I
myself may purchase a waterway.
So I ask the questions of you, Cyrene and its government:
WHY would the Minister be testing this if it's already determined that
buying waterways is possible to do?
WHY would the Minister be testing if the Divine do not want the selling
of waterways to even happen?
WHY would the Minister involve this Saidie citizen (who's not even a
member of the city government council in HELP CYRENE) in "testing" and
then proceed to keep this testing with this individual a secret?
If this was in fact "testing," shouldn't it have been done with the
Imperiate herself, or with a waterplot that was in the middle of
nowhere? Shouldn't the Imperiate have been informed of this testing?
Maybe this Saidie wanted to be the only one who owned a waterway in the
Cyrene subdivision. In order to do this, she and the Minister got
together and "tested" the selling, knowing full well plots could not be
returned to the city after bought. Keeping this testing a secret, no one
knew about this supposed "testing" until I pointed it out. And when it
was pointed it, do you think the simple thought of "Well it's my
daughter, I'm not going to reprimand her for that simple reason" did not
cross the Imperiate's mind? Do you think the Minister and Imperiate's
daughter did not keep in mind that the Imperiate wouldn't reprimand her
own daughter?
Are the citizens of Cyrene looking out for favoritism in their City of
Cyrene? Are you seeing favoritism but are too afraid to speak out? I'd
surely be when the Imperiate surrounds herself with Senators like her
husband and daughter-in-law, with a Treasurer that's her son.
Do you question your city government enough? Or do you feel shooed away
and shot down, hushed by your own government when you bring up a topic
they do not like?
Are the rankings of these connected individuals a bit shocking to you at
all? Lord, Duchess, Noble... and even the daughter Saidie, who is not a
Minister or Senator somehow is already a Margrave. Gee.. I wonder how,
especially when this secret selling of waterways is going on.
Are certain individuals connected to the Imperiate being given special
privilege while the rest of the city does not even know about this?
Let's move onto another topic of interest. Occultism in Cyrene. Now
after I was shot down for buying a water plot, I asked the Imperiate why
I was not allowed citizenship because I happened to be in an Occultist
clan that was "banned" in Cyrene... an Occultist clan that is "banned"
in Cyrene yet has a lot of Cyrenian members it doesn't know about..
individuals who have all kept quiet about our membership in this
supposed "banned" clan. She says to me, "Have you read HELP CYRENE and
HELP CLASS OCCULTIST? And does that not give you any hints?" Upon
examination, I begin to question again. Why does Cyrene allow Occultists
in the first place? Why offer us a home and then say we don't like your
chaos, we're all about order, you don't fit with us but you can stay
here? To me, that seems mean. The Imperiate tells me that they're
looking at that again, saying the decision was made too soon after
auto-class, that strong cases were made that people can "keep a
skillset" and "not play the role at all". Imperiate, you choose a class
for its skills AND for its roleplaying capabilities too. If you allowed
Occultists into Cyrene for this simple reason, why do you not allow
Apostates and Infernals too? Because they're "more Eviler"? And
Occultists are not at all?
Your government isn't right Cyrene. There is something wrong there. I
implore you to investigate all aspects of it, to examine everything it
tells you and everything it does not tell you, for I have one simple
question to ask of you,
Did you know that any of this was going on? Or do they hide and try to
shush you too?
