The Rose

Behold the rose,
a majestic beauty.
Held up high
for all to see.
Her delicate petals
kiss the sky
She is wonder
you can't deny.
But her beauty
has a price you see.
Beneath her folds,
sharp and thorny.
Lover beware
what you hold.
Beauty bears danger
or so I am told.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Phaestian, in the year 281 AF.
