Heart and Soul

Written by: Profanus Laurella, Warlock Initiate
Date: Wednesday, July 11th, 2001
Addressed to: Infernal Wallace Treujer, Iron Citadel Knight

How cruel a twist of fate may be
And wring my happiness from me
Tug at my soul and tear at my heart
And take my entire world apart

Have me kneel down in defeat
Rip the ground from under my feet
And still it hurts me more and more
With pain I never felt before

How foolish are dreams of happiness
How silly the life we lead
The pain that it brings to the hearts of us
Love is not worth it indeed

I'm not mad at the one that hurt me
Au contraire, I wish him all the best
But I beg and I plead for the life of me
Give me back my heart, and let me rest

Laurella

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Lupar, in the year 281 AF.
