Warm summer tidings

Written by: Sir Aodfionn Wintermourne, Herald of the Rot

Hailing from a land
Seleucar could not outlast,
pacify, or tame

Empires one and all
Perish, and decay, and rot,
We weep not for them

Do not mourn your loss
Bitterness is not a shield
But instead, a trap

We have all known war
Thoth's touch speaks plainly enough
To any fight's odds

Embrace the hardship
As we have been told to do
Rather frequently.

For we have, as well!
Our spirits remain sky-high
Filling graves sparks joy

The price was worth it
For to -sacrifice- empire
Is a sacred thing

A promise was made
In response, jokes and laughter
Well, who's laughing now?

Warm summer regards
From one of the Gaian Knights,
Sir Aodfionn the Troll

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Ero, in the year 966 AF.
