Poetry News Post #6214

Just give it time.

Written by: Librarian and Cupcake, Annase D'Arcangeli-Malicieux

Where does the line between librarian and poet ends?
Where would I be if unsigned letters decided my fate?
I went ahead and followed its instructions,
A careful, almost wary look at my reflection.

But all I saw was a beautiful lady with so much to say,
Not a single sign of lost laughter or a hue of grey.

The Curator might be at odds with the Librarian and Cupcake,
Once at the brink of the end of the world, priorities change,
Where does the line between librarian and poet ends?
Not a single sign of lost laughter or a hue or grey.

The grey was carefully dusted off, and now,
I have so many stories I want to tell,
I want you to cry and laugh and wail and go "Oh, no!
(She posted again.)"
Once at the brink of the end of the world, priorities change.
Just give it time, Sapience! Just give it time.
I'll be the most prolific poet you've seen in ages!

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Scarlatan, in the year 949 AF.
