A winters dream

A winter lullabye:

You are not dead, you do but dream.
In your rest you will redeem.

Rest now,
Summer has gone, and fall is done.
The leaves of autumn will blanket you one by one.

Sleep now,
The snows will cover you and ice will grow.
Storms will howl and winds will blow.

Dream now,
Of the time when you are free.
Spring rains will come soon to be.

Hope now.
The seeds and fruit we've gathered from your beds,
Will fill our stomachs and keep us fed.

Listen now.
You are not dead, you did not die.
Spring will come and flowers lie.
When spring waters flow once more, you will gleam.
Waking once more from this winters dream.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Glacian, in the year 929 AF.
