Of Crescent Moon

Tonight I sit and watch the fire beside my bed. The forest is full of sound, and the sky is full of stars. The light of the crescent moon shines down upon me, and I am content.

Tomorrow I will wander the desert amongst the darkness, and I shall be not alone. The ground shall yield to my footsteps, and the sky shall show me the path. And there, in the sky, the crescent moon is my lantern, and my companion.

Nights pass in and out amongst the heavens, interchanging in a requiem of light. The crescent moon doth wax, and I shed tear for its departure, but I fear not. Return to me, oh crescent moon, such that I might waltz with you once more.

The sea shimmers soft silver in the darkness. My lovely crescent moon doth dance amongst the stars, and I do dance by her side. The waters creep steadily towards me, but I fear not. The crescent moon shelters me in her light.

My love the crescent moon, its light does shine bright upon me. My beautiful crescent moon, oh such that I would wait in wanton anticipation until she has returned. Come to me, oh my crescent moon, and we shall dance another night.
