Silence Lingers On

You tempt me with your song
A shatter unto the night
Your voice echoes long
Making me long for daylight

Your harmony used to be sweet
Soft, tender, a melody
Yet since I have goals to meet
They lack love and purity

You once appeared to me
As a great dragon of old
Yet now I glance about misery
What used to be ever bold

I write this tune to reminisce
As I have of times past
Your song will be missed
It faded far too fast

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Daedalan, in the year 710 AF.
