The Cheater


Kind and sweet, funny, neat,
A perfect partner, woman complete.

No allegiances, not a defender,
Gives herself to me in complete surrender,

Open the package and to my surprise,
A vicious viper, there in disguise,

Venomous hate, in love's place.
She courts another, from my embrace.

Murder murder, oh so sweet,
The noose tightens swiftly to the kick of her feet.

The story of the cheater has now been told.
Her head will keep me company as I grow old.
