Love

What happens when you find that person,
The one who completes your heart?
Does it happen all at once I wonder,
Or a little at a time?
Do they sweep you off your feet,
Overwhelming with fancy treats?
Sultry kisses by the fireside,
Loving caresses in the moonlight.
Teasing touches sending hearts a-flutter,
Tumbling head over heels into love.
Or perhaps its something less tactile,
Something to woo you to their side.
Shall they steal in and whisper,
Sweet wishes in your ear?
Romantic letters on your doorstep,
Beautiful flowers set from afar.
Long strolls through blossom filled fields,
The promises of delights yet unfound.
Does it matter how they find you,
To fill your heart your with love?
Or does it only matter,
That you take the time to explore?
Keep your heart a willing vessal,
Leave your mind a open book.
Some day love will claim you,
Keep you warm in its embrace.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Miraman, in the year 604 AF.
