Between Lines

Can you recall-
Days when we stood side by side,
Days when it was just you and I,
Standing tall?

Seeing you now,
I hope that laughter found its way
Into your life with her every day.
No knitting your brow.

And I won't cry
For memories or long lost anythings.
We were like birds, always lived on the wing,
No asking "why".

Take care, my friend.
The wind is blowing a spring breeze
Towards an old soul- you were always free.
All blessings I'll send.

But I don't forget
What's said and done regardless of
The long years that stand between us
So much to regret.

Are you happy yet?

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Glacian, in the year 582 AF.
