A lighter poem about a cat to end the year

My Proud Dun Cat

You strut on by
Looking for love
Stroke stroke stroke
You check things out
Satisfied, sit down
My proud orange cat
Sprinting about
With wide dark eyes
Eating your fill
And filling the boredom
Finding that perch
You retire
Waking later
To attack another
Too many bad dreams
From too many fleas
They mock us all
But you are still
My proud Dun cat

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Mayan, in the year 581 AF.
