Sifri was thrilled.

After long years of construction, the newest level of the Quisalis headquarters was completed. All that was left was to bridge the two sections together with more than a tiny, hidden hole through which builders had been accessing the construction site, but there were layers upon layers of hard rock between.

Patience was overrated.

Sifri was able to procure a small explosive, which utilised a powerful beam of focused electricity designed to tear through the cavern floor with minimal wreckage. Quickly she summoned the members of the Quisalis Mark, and explained the situation.

Assassins Hirst da'Miras, Mizik Corten, and their allies were soon on-hand to witness the opening. Within short order, electricity surged through the orb and blew through the rock with ease, revealing the way to a lower section of the Den. The assassins proceeded onward, where the Quisalis lieutenant Baliar Blackthorne awaited them with formal greetings... but their gathering had not gone unnoticed.

Atlantia and the rival champions of the Ivory Mark had arrived at the Den of the Quisalis. Probably to spy on the happenings, Sifri thought, and whispered a quick warning to Baliar. They had just enough time to prepare.

Within moments, the two groups clashed; multiple casualties on both sides forced them to fall back and regroup. Baliar ordered the assassins to stand down, proposing a test of honourable combat that would demonstrate to the Ivory Mark the superior might of the Quisalis. Atlantia, confident in the abilities of her comrades, accepted.

Within moments, the representatives were chosen: Hirst for the assassins, and the priestess Tesha al Ashtad for the champions. After a long-fought battle, Hirst was slain, the Ivory Mark triumphant. Furious, Baliar stormed away, instructing the rivals to depart immediately, lest his temper get the better of him. Wisely Atlantia departed the stronghold with her party, victorious, her thoughts ever turned toward the future.
