Today marks an important milestone in the gradual rise of the power of
the city-state. For the first time, after all options had been
exhausted, the leader of a city replaced the guildmaster of a guild.
After a long-running dispute between the Dawnstrider leadership
(primarily Xandor, Gelphend, and Kiana, who some accuse of being
subversives working for a dark cause), during which the Dawnstriders
accused Shallam of not incorporating their wishes and desires into city
policy, and during which Shallam accused the Dawnstriders of treason,
Dresden, the Sultaness of Shallam, took action and ejected Gelphend,
Xandor, and Kiana, replacing Gelphend with Otha as guildmaster.
Penned by my hand on the 14th of Glacian, in the year 278 AF.
