A New Haven for the Wearied

Early one recent morning, the voice of Angela, the Mayor of Thera rang
out through the streets, cheerfully inviting one and all to attend the
unveiling of the town's newest landmark. Aside from the Therans
themselves, Blujixapug was the first to arrive at the site of unveiling,
followed by a large handful of more curious onlookers.
As the sun rose to a fine vantage point, Angela introduced Brenn and
Cheska, two new members of the township who also happened to be the
owners and proprietors of the subject of curiosity. Brenn stepped up to
the threshold of the mint building and began thanking those Therans who
had worked on it: Clint for doing the carpentry work, Jessie for making
the fabulous stained-glass windows, and Holly for being gracious enough
to craft their many dishes.
Brenn went on to explain that he and his wife, Cheska, had spent their
lives exploring the corners of the world before deciding to settle down
in Thera and construct a haven for others such as themselves. He stepped
back from the entranceway and opened the front door, introducing Thera's
new Wander Inn.
Clint, the Theran carpenter, bought a round of drinks for the wearied
workers and sat a spell before announcing that he was heading over to
the library to finish putting a door on the new tower for the
distinguished Chroniclers of Achaean Lore.
One well-known Achaean Ranger did not attend the unveiling of the inn,
but paid the proud new proprietors a visit after the doors were opened
to the public. He was greeted with open arms by the innkeepers who
recognised him immediately as an avid explorer, and he became the first
member of the exclusive fellowship they share.
The Wander Inn stands now on Winter Way in Thera, open to all who desire
a quiet night's rest in a comfortable room. Customers of the Wander Inn
can enjoy not only a private room, but a hearty home-cooked meal and
drink as well. The innkeepers ask only that their patrons observe and
respect the charter that hangs on the wall of the common room while in
attendance.
