An avalanche in the Vashnar mountains off the Great Southern Road near
Jaru has revealed a narrow passage leading to the cliffs of Quartz Peak!
A sentient bearlike race of men called the Ursu and their enemies, the
Taryen, have been discovered dwelling within the cliffside caves. In
rushing to investigate the avalanche, the swift Zenui Ruthras became the
first to set foot upon Quartz Peak.
