new areas!

Well, as most (or at least many) of you have no doubt discovered by now,
we put in three new areas yesterday, extending Sapience north quite a
bit. North of the north road are the Granite hills. North of those are
the Dardanic Grasslands, and north from that is the Northreach Forest.
These areas are largely empty by design, as we have had many requests
for some more large open empty areas to add more of a feeling of scale
to the world.
On another note, I thought I'd tell you some of what we're currently
working on. First of all, a new class is almost done. I won't say what,
but it's got 3 new guild skills. Due to the nature of one of the skills,
it is likely that every city will get a class with that particular skill
(we'll make some new hybrid classes rather than just using the same
class for each city).
Second, there is, as the rumour mill has no doubt informed many of you,
a fourth player-city coming. Again, please don't ask for more details,
as we won't give them out.
Finally, work on the systems necessary to implement the ocean (and thus
ships) has finally begun. It's quite a lot of work, but Aeyr is working
on it more or less full-time.
After the new class(es) go in, we'll be continuing to fill in some of
the broken or missing guild skills, and then from there we'll be
starting work on more economic things. All in all, lots of exciting
stuff is going to happen in the nearish future!
