Shrines and Defilement

Due to the recent confusion surrounding shrines and defilement, we find it necessary to remind that those involved in shrine defilement must always allow the defender the potential to witness.

In the situation of a defilement, the defilers open themselves up to immediate assault regardless of a writ, though a writ must be obtained to pursue further retribution after the defilement itself. However, from this point forward, following a successful witness attempt, the witnesser becomes open to attack. With the exception of carrying out a writ, neither the witnesser nor the defiler are open to repercussion at a later time.

The purpose of these changes is to ensure that defiling is not merely being used as an option to lure someone into an ambush, but rather is an attempt to pursue meaningful conflict against an order.
