class channels - why, what for?

Class channels were created to allow communications amongst all those
who share a given class. Ideally, the class channel will provide a
good place for people helping others to find a House or city, or
both - since both House and city are organisations with commitments
and obligations of mutual support, and the class has nothing of the
kind. Not that a private word with someone you find in CLASSWHO
couldn't be helpful too.
I hope that answers why the class channels were created, and what
they are intended to help with.
Restrictions on the use of class channel are minimal - see HELP OOC,
HELP LANGUAGERULES, and that's about it.
Oh, and nasty/non-constructive exchanges pro and/or con guilds, or
rogue status - don't go there.
Other than that, the channels are what you make of them.
